These are the rules as of 12/19/07. There may be updates to the rules at any time, so don't forget to check back.
1. When posting, please remember to be considerate of other players. Please, no full pagers. A post of between 4 and 10 short paragraphs should suffice. Include enough information in your posts so that others can make a detailed post back. You must make it clear which character you are playing in your posts by mentioning their name at least once.
2. Players must be at least 18 years of age. Adult language, violence and sexual content may be present. Immature and young Rpers will be advised to turn away.
3. Various types of characters from all times/settings are welcome here as long as the typist shows that the char is aware of the setting in posts.
4. Threads that involve the running storyline must be approved and agreed upon by a moderator before posting.
5. This is a mutual Roleplay board - which means that we only acknowledge actions agreed upon by all typists in play. This also means that any actions that have taken place in a character's storyline prior to entering Limbo that weren't agreed upon by the typist in question are nul and void in Limbo. No other player may enter Limbo and force another player to acknowledge actions the first player did not agree upon. -This includes kills, relationships, children and any other form of non-mutual roleplay.
6. Play on the board is turn-based, so be patient and wait your turn when interacting with other characters. When entering a scene where two or more characters are already interacting, be patient after you have posted to see if they acknowledge you before making another action.
7. Moding or powerplaying will not be tolerated. Definitions of moding are as follows:
8. No impossible combinations of characters will be accepted here. - For example, a drow/dragon/angel/demon crossbreed.
9. When roleplaying, the activities of the character must remain in character and should not reflect grievances, attitudes or other hostilities of the player. Vice Versa, the actions taken in character should not affect your actions or impede your ability to roleplay. We do not mix IC and OOC here.
10. Keep OOC in the roleplay boards to a minimum except for announcements such as ((moving action to another area)) for example. There is an Out of Character board for OOC discussions.
11. Profiles are a requirement. They need to be kept current for the sake of fellow players. All profiles must be approved by a moderator before posts from that character can be made.
12.[/i]All players are required to submit a sample of writing (a piece of an Rp session, for example) to one of the moderators before they are accepted to join the Rp.

7. Moding or powerplaying will not be tolerated. Definitions of moding are as follows:
- When a player ignores the posts of other players although he's in their presence and their actions should affect his character.
- When a player refuses to acknowledge the traditional rules of combat - For example, claiming an attack or action didn't or couldn't do damage to his character when he's playing a character not equipped to defend against said attack or action. Or refusal to recognize the strengths and abilities of his opponent (underestimating his enemy).
- When a player is playing a character that is far too powerful without weaknesses. - For example, a demon who is also able to wield holy powers and avoid all possible attacks.
- When a player takes an action that would be considered impossible for his character - For example, a mere human prying free from an ancient vampire's embrace or a human taking an elf unaware without magical enhancement.
