Name: Serephium, Sereph
Age: 2000+
Height: 6'3
Gender: Male
Home world: One of many versions of Earth
Species: Adachiel
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Occupation: Writer, Ex-Soldier
Physical description: To put it bluntly, Sereph is attractive. Maybe not always in personality (to some) but physically you can't deny the allure. All of him is definitely male and far from soft. Yet not bulky. Holding that well toned sleekness to him that is well coupled with a predatory grace - and while his personality seems to say something far from angelic. His coloring does.
Sereph's hair is long and white. Not light blond or soft gray, but white from root to tip. Sometimes tied back off his face, yet far too often left to fall about his shoulders and get into his face on occasion. This coupled with sharp blue eyes and a rather olive tan, makes for a startling combination. Sereph tends to play a lot of expression through his eyes. Given their crisp color, it can be rather chilling when he sets a cold glare upon you. Something he is rather skilled at.
Standing over six foot, Sereph is rather hard to miss. Especially at night with the pale color of his hair. So he makes little effort to hide himself and spends more time scaring people off instead.
Physical Powers/skills: Sereph isn't all brawn, but he is strong. Stamina wise he is stubborn to the point of stupidity. As he can push himself too far in some situations. Despite this, Sereph is sharp and quick on his feet. Having been brought up from a young age in a war. He knows the advantages of keeping your wits about you, and not letting your temper get the better of you. While he has a fiery temper outside of a fight, he can be dangerously cool and collected in it.
Skill wise, Sereph is well trained in the art of swordsmanship. Knowing one or two different styles, but finding a long sword more to his liking. Yet this doesn't mean he is helpless without a weapon in his hand. Quite the contrary. He is just as bad without one as with. Given his background in fighting, it wasn't uncommon to loose a blade in the midsts of a fight. He's used to being forced into unfair situations and has a good number of years to practice ways to come out the victor in the end despite the favor resting in other hands.
Physical Weaknesses: Sereph's wings are sensitive. While they are usually un-summoned and hidden as a tattoo down his back. They are tender if someone isn't careful with them. In most bases Sereph can ignore pain, yet if someone was to claw up his back to cut it, it would easily distract him for a couple of seconds. Long enough to gain an advantage to those quick on their feet. This is the reason he keeps them hidden away. While they are still sensitive un-summoned, they are more so out. As un-summoned people can't break them, or do worse to them. For this reason, Sereph is careful with baring his back to people he doesn't know or trust.
Also, Sereph's strengths are with a sword or his body. He has little skill in missile weapons - and while he is strong, he doesn't like wearing bulky armor. Seeing it more as a hindrance than a help.
Magical Powers: As all of his people receive at least five main powers. Sereph holds a few of which he actually uses given his preference for a more hands on approach (and his dislike of one or two of his actual powers). To break it all down simply here is a list.
Magical Weaknesses: Because of his connection with Fire. Logically Sereph is weak against the cold. Water itself doesn't weaken him, but it does make it difficult to use his element. Also Sereph's empathy has a habit of backfiring on him. Even though he is powerful in the ways of sensing emotion, he can't switch it off. This has made him consciously antisocial, as large crowds of people give him a headache with all the emotional echo he receives.
Background/History: Born to two angelic parents, Sereph came into the world an orphan. His father already dead, his mother dying soon after giving birth to him. It seemed a rather tragic beginning to a list of troubled things to come. Luckily Sereph was taken in by a man called Iryon. Another rather well reputed Adachiel in his world, who treated him like a true son and taught him everything he knew.
When Sereph became twenty, a war broke out between his kind and the demons of his world. Not the first and probably not to be the last. Yet he was soon listed into the war to fight.
Many things happened during that war, most of which he refuses to talk about. Though he will say his father (Iryon) was killed then. The one apparent good thing that did occur during that time. Was Sereph's fast friendship with Christian. Someone who would soon be his only confidant for many years and become tangled up in the chaotic affairs of limbo.
At the end of the war, his trust in his own people was shaken, and their trust in him falsely shattered. It didn't take long after that for him to cease caring about their opinion of him. Sereph became a watch. Which was the counterpart of a guardian in his world. As the Adachiel are much like angels where they come from. They have similar jobs. Guardians where given the task of guarding a single innocent from dark influence. While a Watcher simply recorded events and sins made by the innocent as years progressed. This task lasted for years, until another large event in his life unfolded. He was suddenly dumped with the responsibility of a child. His God Daughter he had no knowledge of until that moment - Selena. Sereph quickly got the aid of his more child-wise friend Chris, and together the pair rose her.
From there things where rather normal...up until he was dumbed in Limbo of course.

Personality: When most people first meet Sereph. He too often comes across as socially withdrawn and cold. If not down right rude and bitter to some. Most of the time he seemed to tolerate those around him and spends more time ignoring people than talking to him. Yet when he does talk to them, it is more often than not laced with sarcasm and biting wit.
Yet to those who manage to penetrate the hard antisocial shell he has cunningly wrapped himself up in. It becomes clear that rather easily made opinion on his personality is horribly wrong.
Truthfully, Sereph is a caring a loyal man who wouldn't hurt anyone who didn't deserve it. Capable of a terrifying scope of emotion and understanding beneath that cold mask of indifference. Though he does pretend not to care, that often isn't the case. It isn't uncommon to find him trying to help people in rather subtle ways. Because of what he is, it is hard for him to watch people unjustly hurt. Even more so when it is people he cares about, and though his circle of friends is very exclusive. The loyalty and patience he can show them is rather amusing.
Despite this, Sereph is blunt and seems to lack some of the more finer graces when it comes to particular topics. Given his respect for the truth, even if it is hurtful, and his bitter dislike for lies. Sereph tends to share the same to others around him and will say what's on his mind with some disregard to other peoples opinion. This of course has made him rather terrible at politics, but sometimes good at debates and bartering.
Extras: Sereph has a set Wings tattooed on his back.

Magical Powers: As all of his people receive at least five main powers. Sereph holds a few of which he actually uses given his preference for a more hands on approach (and his dislike of one or two of his actual powers). To break it all down simply here is a list.
- Element - Probably one of his more used abilities. At a very young age it is common for an Adachiel to develop an elemental ability. Fire is his and seemed to match his personality rather well.
- Animal Shift - Another power he doesn't mind using. Yet uses more rarely. It is also another common power for his race to hold. Animal shift is simply an ability to turn into an animal. Each Adachiel is born with the ability to change into a single animal type. Sereph's is a wolf. This power has three levels. One is a simple animal shift, which is held for too long can effect logical thinking. Turning your thought process more and more towards instinct the longer you remain in it. The second shift is more developed. You can hold it longer without effect. The final stage is much like the second, only you can use your other powers while holding it.
- Empathy - rather self explanatory. Empathy is the ability to sense others emotions. Unfortunately for Sereph, he is a rather powerful empath and because of it's potency, he has no way of blocking it.
- Dream Gazing - A gift he hardly ever uses. this ties in with his Empathy. Dream gazing is basically that. An ability to see with in someones dreams, or even his own. This can be helpful when people try to invade his mind, allowing him to fling emotion or nightmares back at them. How well this works, depends on how talents his opponent is
- Death Touch - One of Sereph's more powerful abilities, and also one of his more hated. As this power is actually a dark power in his world. There are restrictions that come with it. While he can kill with a touch as the name suggests. It takes a lot out of him. Mentally and physically. Usually he uses this to knock people out, not kill them. As every time he uses it to it's full capacity, he is more likely to break he seal holding his demonic taint at bay. Not only this, but it takes time to work. It isn't instant. Even if it requires little concentration to call, it requires flesh on flesh contact on a vital area. Like the chest, or stomach...or even the forehead...for a length of time.
- Demonic change - Isn't actually a power, more of a curse. This only happens when he's weak and his demonic half comes into play for survival reasons. In this state he has slightly different powers and is quite a bit stronger. Yet there is nothing nice about him when he's like this. More happy to kill and torture than anything in this state. THIS is one ability Sereph views solely as a curse and would rather die than willingly use.
